The 2011 Burr cabin trip started late Thursday night. We unpacked and went straight to bed. We all woke up bright and early. June spent lots of time in her swing with her best cousin Peyton who also brought up her swing.
This is what Lyvi looked like within the first 10 minutes of being outside.
Granna, Kenzie, and Lyvi playing "house"
Lyvi loved helping Blake find bugs. Definitely not my child.
June was happy during the day but at night her allergies and missing her bed didn't let her sleep much. which was not fun for the both of us.
Weeks before the cabin trip my bro in law and my dad had a idea to build a new swing for the cabin. So the guys started on the swing Friday morning and finished Friday late afternoon.
The guys had to run to Ace hardware they came back with a book of 200 tattoos.
Friday night we played night games and tried to scare Jacob and his girlfriend Kierra.
Next to my bro in law uncles cabin there is a old cabin that is super creepy. We dared to see if anyone would go pick up the glow stick and bring it back. My dad did it first so we made sure to give him a crown for it.
Justin then one up'd the challenge and came running back to the cabin screaming with a jacket he found in the cabin. GROSS!
These three boys then toured the cabin. Scary.
Saturday morning after breakfast was the 5 mile race. Here are the racers (minus Gwen:)
While waiting for the racers the little girls got make overs.
Lyvi was in heaven
Ryan brought up a fun activity for the kids. They all loved it!
Saturday night after dinner we did skits. June made sure to clap after each one.
After the kids went to bed the adults played LCR, spoons, and Painted toes. Which then lead to painting the guys toes.
Sunday morning June and I slept in since we didn't get much sleep. We wokem up and headed down the stairs for breakfast. I somehow missed a step and we fell about 5-6 steps. Thank goodness the way I landed i was able to protect June but I hurt my foot. I was in some mayor pain. I knew I broke it. Justin
laid me on the couch. I
laid there for about 5 minutes but I was ready to go to the hospital for the "good stuff" (DRUGS). Justin and I got in my dad's truck while my dad drove and we left for Show low hospital. They did x rays and sure enough I broke and chipped my fibula. We left the hospital 2 hours later(thank you Dad & Justin for waiting with me) went back to the cabin packed up and headed home.
(Mason had surgery on his foot weeks ago and now has to wear a boot. So I was pretty excited that him and I would be matching.)
It was most definitely a cabin trip I won't soon forget. My bro-in-law promised me a bedroom down stairs next year.
